If you are looking at buying plastic shutters, then let me give you the low down about it and why it can be a good thing as well as a bad thing. Not all shutters are created equal, and something has to give whether its quality or beauty.
With plastic you have less to worry about when it comes to corrosion thats for sure. The one thing that you don’t get is a natural wood shutter look, or a custom finished look. That still doesn’t mean you should buy plastic shutters.
The benefits however are the fact that they will probably last you a long time. While not the prettiest they are a great investment for someone that does not have the money to replace window coverings every so often, but rather wants years of life to an investment. If they are right for you, then I would say plastic shutters whether they are plantation style or exterior are worth the investment.
