Measuring your window opening
One of the big mistakes people often make when they get some new blinds installed is that they don’t get the measurements right. If you are not good down to the 1/16th of an inch, then you may find yourself with blinds or shutters that just don’t plain fit. Since this has been a problem with many home owners or a ong time, don’t feel bad. These things have to just be done a certain way.
Thats why I recommend that when you get blinds or shutters, that you have a professional measure all window openings. If for some reason they did not do it right, they will have to be the one that pays for the mistake. remember most companies that sell blinds have an account with the factory that custom builds them. So they many times can work out deals and such. If you were to measure and it didn’t turn out right they would ask for more money to get it to the right size. We all know that this is just more time you do nothave any window coverings regardless if you have the money for it or not.
So play it safe and just have the pros do it. It will save you a lot of money and possible headaches in the end.
